If you request, we will provide advice to you (by telephone or electronic communication) regarding improving and developing your business, and resolving operating problems you encounter, to the extent we deem reasonable. If we provide in-person support in response to your request, we may charge a fee plus any out-of-pocket expenses (such as travel, lodging, and meals for our employees providing onsite support). What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Endless Summer Sweets' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you request in-person support to improve your business or resolve operational issues, Endless Summer Sweets may charge a fee for this service. In addition to the fee, you would be responsible for covering any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by Endless Summer Sweets' employees while providing on-site support. These expenses include travel, lodging, and meals.
This means that if you need hands-on assistance at your Endless Summer Sweets location, you should budget not only for the franchisor's service fee but also for the costs associated with their team's travel and stay. These costs can vary depending on the distance traveled, the duration of the support, and local lodging rates. It is important to clarify the potential fee structure and estimated out-of-pocket expenses with Endless Summer Sweets before requesting in-person support to avoid unexpected costs.
This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where franchisors often provide support but pass on the direct costs of that support to the franchisee. Understanding these potential costs is crucial for managing your budget and making informed decisions about when and how to seek assistance from Endless Summer Sweets.
