What is the deadline for completing Endless Summer Sweets training before opening the franchise?

According to Endless Summer Sweets' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must successfully complete the initial training program at least six weeks before opening their business. The training is held at Endless Summer Sweets' original location in Berkeley, California, or at another location designated by them. The training program is approximately two weeks long and typically begins about twelve weeks before the scheduled opening.

The franchise owner and restaurant manager are required to attend the initial training. Franchisees have the option to send an employee as well, allowing up to three people to participate in the training program. Endless Summer Sweets provides the instructional materials, including the Operations Manual and other training resources they develop.

There is no fee for up to two people to attend the initial training program. However, franchisees are responsible for covering the travel and living expenses for themselves, their employees, and their managers while attending the training. Additionally, Endless Summer Sweets will provide a representative to assist and train franchisees at their location for approximately one week before or around the time of the opening, including during the "soft" opening. While there is no fee for this on-site training, franchisees must cover the travel, per diem, and lodging expenses for the Endless Summer Sweets representative.
