What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Embassy Suites By Hilton Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their hotels in compliance with the franchise agreement and the brand's standards. Specifically, the franchisee is required to operate the hotel using the Embassy Suites By Hilton system, adhering to the agreement and standards to provide high-quality lodging services to the public. This encompasses various aspects of the hotel's operation, including maintaining 24-hour service after the opening date.
Compliance with standards also extends to specifications for supplies, products, and services used in the hotel. While franchisees may generally purchase products from authorized sources, Embassy Suites By Hilton retains the right to mandate the purchase of particular brands or services to maintain brand consistency. This may involve exclusive purchasing arrangements with approved suppliers or distributors. Franchisees must also install and maintain signage displaying the Embassy Suites By Hilton brand name according to established standards.
Furthermore, franchisees must adhere to Embassy Suites By Hilton's standards for personnel training, ensuring that key personnel complete designated training programs. Franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with this training. Overall, these requirements ensure that each Embassy Suites By Hilton location maintains a consistent level of quality and service, contributing to the brand's reputation and customer expectations.
Failure to comply with these operational requirements could result in a breach of the franchise agreement, potentially leading to penalties or termination of the agreement. Therefore, prospective franchisees should carefully review the franchise agreement and standards to fully understand their obligations.
