What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Embassy Suites By Hilton Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must comply with Hilton's Standards for personnel training. Specifically, franchisees must adhere to Embassy Suites By Hilton's standards for training personnel involved in operating the hotel. This includes ensuring that key personnel, or those of their management company, complete a training program for operating the hotel under the Embassy Suites By Hilton system at designated locations.
The franchisee is responsible for selecting the personnel who will attend these training programs. Additionally, the franchisee bears the costs associated with this training, including fees, travel, lodging, and other related expenses for themselves and their employees or management company personnel.
Embassy Suites By Hilton provides the training content deemed necessary and appropriate for the hotel's business functions to operate according to their standards. However, Embassy Suites By Hilton does not directly supervise the franchisee's personnel or dictate their personnel policies and procedures. This means while the franchisee must ensure their staff meets the brand's training standards, they retain control over their employees' day-to-day management and employment conditions.
