Is there a separate fee for the Hilton Honors Training for an Embassy Suites franchise?

According to Embassy Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is currently no separate fee for the Hilton Honors Training. This training is mandatory for all management personnel in key functions and applicable front office personnel. The training must be completed before the hotel opens, is converted, or within 14 to 45 days of their start date, depending on the job position. The Hilton Honors Training is conducted online through Hilton University.

Embassy Suites also offers other training programs that do not have separate fees, such as HPMS Training, and OnQ Rate & Inventory and GRO Training. However, some training programs do have associated costs. For example, the Hilton Core Sales Skills program costs up to $600 per attendee, and the New to Hospitality Owner Education program costs up to $2,500 per participant.

Prospective Embassy Suites franchisees should note that while the Hilton Honors Training currently has no separate fee, Embassy Suites may introduce fees for this or other training programs in the future. It is important to clarify with the franchisor whether the absence of a fee is guaranteed for the term of the franchise agreement or subject to change. Additionally, franchisees are responsible for covering travel, lodging, and miscellaneous expenses for their staff attending any training programs.
