What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Embassy Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is currently no separate fee for the Hilton Honors Training. This training is conducted online through Hilton University and is mandatory for all management personnel in key functions, as well as applicable front office personnel. The training must be completed before the hotel opens, is converted, or within 14 to 45 days of the employee's start date, depending on their job position.
Embassy Suites also requires other training programs, some of which do have associated costs. For example, the Hilton Core Sales Skills certification program can cost up to $600 per attendee. There are also costs associated with the Brand Conference ($2,500 per attendee) and the General Manager, Commercial and Sales Leader Training (up to $1,200). However, similar to the Hilton Honors Training, there is no separate fee for Hilton Property Management System (HPMS) Training, OnQ Rate & Inventory and GRO Training, Pre-Opening Training Resources, Owner Orientation, Eforea Spa Training, and Make a Difference training.
Prospective Embassy Suites franchisees should note that while the Hilton Honors Training itself does not have a separate fee, failing to ensure staff attain the minimum required scores on these trainings may delay the hotel's opening. Additionally, franchisees should be aware of the costs associated with other mandatory and optional training programs, as these can add to the overall investment. It is important to factor in these potential training expenses when evaluating the financial feasibility of opening an Embassy Suites franchise.
