What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Embassy Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is currently no separate fee for ADA Training. However, if a franchisee engages in a Permitted Transfer, Conversion, Relicensing, or Change of Ownership Transfer for the Hotel, Embassy Suites may require the franchisee or designated personnel to attend an online training. This training is to complete an independent survey conducted by an ADA consultant to determine the Hotel's compliance with the ADA.
Embassy Suites also requires hotels to meet annual compliance training requirements, which may include disability awareness. For disability awareness training, Embassy Suites offers training at no cost. Alternatively, franchisees can choose to obtain this training from a vendor of their choice, in which case the cost would be agreed upon between the franchisee and the vendor.
It is important to note that Embassy Suites may modify its training requirements over time, and franchisees are responsible for any travel, lodging, and miscellaneous expenses associated with training. For programs that include travel by Embassy Suites' trainers to the Hotel site, franchisees may also be required to pay for the trainers' travel, lodging, tax, and meals.
