What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Embassy Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, the notice address for the franchisee's Principal Legal Correspondent (PLC) cannot be the same as the hotel address. The FDD specifies that the PLC's notice address also cannot be a P.O. Box. The initial address for the PLC will be listed on an addendum to the franchise agreement.

This requirement ensures that important legal and official notices from Embassy Suites reach a designated representative of the franchisee at a verifiable physical location separate from the hotel itself. This separation aims to avoid potential confusion or delays in handling critical communications.

If a franchisee wishes to change the designated PLC, or their address or email, they can do so by sending written notice to Embassy Suites. This process allows for flexibility as the franchisee's circumstances evolve, while still maintaining a clear channel for official correspondence. Franchisees should ensure that any changes to the PLC or their contact information are promptly communicated to Embassy Suites to avoid any disruptions in receiving important notices.
