What is the name of the program under which Embassy Suites and its affiliates promote each other's systems?
Embassy_Suites Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We periodically adopt programs whereby our System and the systems of our affiliates promote each other. Currently, under a program we refer to as "cross-selling," if a customer calls our Reservations Service Center and we are unable to find suitable accommodations in any hotel in the System (and the customer would otherwise terminate the phone call), we will try to find suitable accommodations with System Hotels (or that of our affiliate). We may implement a common platform for the reservation programs of our various hotel systems, so that we can crosssell the hotels of all our systems (and those of our affiliates).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Embassy Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand and its affiliates participate in a program to promote each other's systems. This program is referred to as "cross-selling." Under this program, if a customer calls the Embassy Suites Reservations Service Center and suitable accommodations cannot be found in any hotel within the Embassy Suites system, the service center will attempt to find accommodations in System Hotels or those of its affiliates.
Embassy Suites may also implement a common platform for the reservation programs of its various hotel systems, including those of its affiliates, to facilitate cross-selling. This means that if an Embassy Suites hotel is fully booked, the reservation service may offer the customer accommodations at another hotel within the broader Hilton network.
For a prospective franchisee, this cross-selling program could be beneficial as it provides an opportunity to capture revenue even when the Embassy Suites hotel is at full capacity. By referring customers to affiliated hotels, Embassy Suites aims to retain business within its network and maintain customer satisfaction. Franchisees should inquire about the specific details of the cross-selling program, including how referrals are tracked and any potential impact on revenue sharing or performance metrics.
