What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Embassy Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, if hotel staff who will be utilizing the Hilton Property Management System (HPMS) have not completed their role-specific training before the hotel's opening, the opening of the Embassy Suites hotel may be delayed. This training is mandatory for all personnel working in the designated subject areas, and Embassy Suites will verify that all front desk staff and management have successfully completed the training. There is currently no separate fee for this training.
This requirement ensures that all staff members are proficient in using the HPMS, which is critical for managing hotel operations. The delay in opening could result in lost revenue and additional expenses for the franchisee. Franchisees should ensure that all relevant staff members complete the HPMS training well in advance of the planned opening date to avoid potential delays.
Embassy Suites' verification process adds another layer of scrutiny, emphasizing the importance of compliance with the training requirements. This proactive approach aims to maintain brand standards and ensure a smooth operational start for new hotels. Franchisees need to factor in the time required for staff training when planning the hotel opening timeline.
