What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Embassy Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must ensure their hotels meet annual compliance training requirements. The specific topics covered may include diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias, harassment prevention, human trafficking prevention, disability awareness, cyber security, and health and safety.

For certain compliance topics, Embassy Suites offers training at no cost to the franchisee. These no-cost training topics include cyber security, disability awareness, human trafficking prevention, diversity and inclusion, and unconscious bias. This means that Embassy Suites provides the training materials and resources for these specific areas without charging a separate fee.

For the compliance topics of harassment prevention and health and safety, Embassy Suites does not offer training directly. However, they will provide vendor recommendations if a franchisee needs assistance in these areas. If a franchisee chooses to obtain training from a vendor, the cost would be agreed upon between the franchisee and the vendor. This arrangement allows franchisees to select training programs that best fit their needs while ensuring compliance with all required standards.

Alternatively, the FDD states that the franchisee may choose to obtain training from a vendor of their choice, in which case the cost would be agreed between the franchisee and the vendor. For the compliance topics of harassment prevention and health and safety, Embassy Suites does not offer training, but will provide vendor recommendations upon request.
