What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Embassy Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, ADA training takes place online. The FDD also states that if an Embassy Suites franchisee engages in a Permitted Transfer, Conversion, Relicensing, or Change of Ownership Transfer for the Hotel, Embassy Suites may require the franchisee or personnel they designate to attend an online training. This training is to complete an independent survey conducted by an ADA consultant to determine the Hotel's compliance with the ADA.
There is currently no separate fee for this training. The hours of classroom training vary, but there are zero hours of on-the-job training.
In addition to ADA training, Embassy Suites requires annual compliance training. These topics may include diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias, harassment prevention, human trafficking prevention, disability awareness, cyber security, and health and safety. For cyber security, disability awareness, human trafficking prevention, diversity and inclusion, and unconscious bias, Embassy Suites offers training at no cost. Alternatively, a franchisee may choose to obtain this training from a vendor of their choice, in which case the cost would be agreed upon between the franchisee and the vendor.
