Ella_Cafe Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
You (and your owners, if the franchise is owned by an entity) must protect the confidentiality of our Operating Manual and other proprietary information, and you must use our confidential information only for your franchised business. What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Ella Cafe's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchise is owned by an entity, the owners are also required to protect the confidentiality of the Operating Manual and other proprietary information. This means that not only the franchisee entity itself, but also the individuals who own the entity, are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of Ella Cafe's confidential business information.
This requirement extends to all non-public plans, data, financial information, processes, vendor pricing, supply systems, marketing systems, formulas, techniques, designs, layouts, operating procedures, customer data, information, and know-how used in developing and operating the Ella Cafe business. The owners must use this confidential information only for the operation of their franchised business and for no other purpose.
Ella Cafe may also require the managers and key employees of the franchise to sign confidentiality agreements. This is a common practice in franchising to ensure that a broad range of individuals with access to sensitive information are legally bound to protect it. This helps Ella Cafe maintain its competitive advantage and protect its brand standards.
