What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Ella Cafe's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, while additional training is not currently required, it may be in the future. The FDD states that Ella Cafe reserves the right to offer and require franchisees and their Principal Executive to attend additional training or refresher courses, providing at least 30 days' notice.

Even though additional training isn't mandatory right now, Ella Cafe franchisees should be aware that they may need to factor in time and expenses for further training down the line. This could include travel, salary, food, and living expenses for those attending.

The FDD also mentions refresher training programs for general managers or employees, with a fee of $350 per person per training. Franchisees are not required to attend more than one of these programs per calendar year, and the programs will not exceed three days. This ensures that the staff remains updated with Ella Cafe's operational standards, but it also represents an additional cost and time commitment for the franchisee.
