What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Ella Cafe's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is provided at no charge for up to three individuals, including the Principal Executive. If a franchisee desires to have additional personnel participate in the training program, Ella Cafe may provide initial training to such additional personnel at any of their scheduled initial training courses. The fee is $500.00 per day per trainer, with a maximum of 8 hours per day, plus any reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for such trainer.

This means that if a franchisee wants to send more than three people to the initial training, they will incur a cost of $500 per day for each additional person, plus the trainer's expenses. This cost can add up quickly, especially if the training program lasts for several days. It is important to factor this cost into the overall budget when considering an Ella Cafe franchise.

The franchisee is also responsible for all costs and expenses of complying with Ella Cafe's training requirements, including wages, travel, lodging, and dining costs for all employees who participate in the training. Ella Cafe reserves the right to modify the initial training program at its sole discretion at any time, and the franchisee is responsible for their own travel, lodging, meal, and other out-of-pocket expenses for attending the training.

Prospective franchisees should consider these costs when planning their initial investment and operating budget. It's also important to note that Ella Cafe reserves the right to modify the training program, so the length and content may vary based on the experience and skill level of the individuals attending.
