What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Ella Cafe's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for specific costs when attending additional training courses, seminars, and programs. Ella Cafe may offer these programs in various formats, such as through third-party providers, online, at regional meetings or seminars, in traditional classrooms, or at Ella Cafe's Conference.

Franchisees are responsible for all training-related expenses for their attendees. These costs include tuition or attendance fees, salaries, travel, lodging, and dining. This means that in addition to paying for the training itself, franchisees must also cover the costs of sending their employees to these events.

This policy is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors often require ongoing training to maintain brand standards and introduce new products or procedures. The franchisee bears the financial burden of ensuring their staff is properly trained beyond the initial program. Prospective Ella Cafe franchisees should factor these potential costs into their operating budget, as these additional training programs are mandatory for the Principal Executive and other designated employees.
