The FDD states that Ella Cafe will conduct an initial training program and that the franchisee and their Principal Executive must satisfactorily complete the initial training before opening the Franchised Business.
The training classes are scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees, and Ella Cafe anticipates holding these classes three to six times per year at their offices and business location in Plantation, Florida. Ella Cafe reserves the right to change the length and content of the training program based on the attendee's experience and skill level. The training involves the Operating Manual, lectures, discussions, on-the-job demonstrations, and practice. The lead trainer is Zack Foley, who has 26 years of experience in operating similar business lines. Other Ella designees with at least six months of industry experience may also lead classes. If attending training under a MUDA (Multi-Unit Development Agreement), a certified area developer with at least six months of industry experience will lead the classes.
There is no fee for up to three people to attend the initial training; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel, salary, food, and living expenses for all attendees. The franchisee must complete the training to Ella Cafe's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business.
