What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Ella Cafe's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for several costs associated with the training program beyond the daily training fee. While the initial training program is provided at no charge for up to three individuals, including the Principal Executive, franchisees must cover expenses like wages, travel, lodging, and dining for all participating employees. This applies to both the initial training and any additional or remedial training that may be required.

If the franchisee wants additional personnel to participate in the training program, Ella Cafe may provide initial training to the additional personnel at any of their scheduled initial training courses at their then-current fee, which is currently $500.00 per day per trainer (maximum 8 hours per day) plus any reasonable out-of-pocket expense for such trainer.

Furthermore, franchisees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, meal, and other out-of-pocket expenses when attending the training. These costs can vary significantly depending on the location of the training, the number of employees attending, and the duration of their stay. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these additional expenses when evaluating the overall cost of opening an Ella Cafe franchise.
