Pre-Opening Obligations

- Grant of Franchise We will grant to you the right to operate the Franchised Business within a designated operating territory. (Franchise Agreement, Article 2);

- Site Review and Approval of Operating Territory At the time of signing your Franchise Agreement you will have selected and we will have approved of the Operating Territory within which you will operate the Franchised Business. (Franchise Agreement, Article 2). If permitted by law, you may manage your Dryer Vent Squad Business from a home based administrative office. If you elect to lease a back-end administrative office and/or operations center, your administrative office and/or operations center must be located within your Operating Territory and be approved by us;

- Manuals We will provide you with access to our confidential and proprietary Manuals. You must operate the Franchised Business in accordance with the Manuals and all applicable laws, rules and regulations. At all times, we reserve the right to supplement, modify and update the Manuals. (Franchise Agreement, Article 4.C.). The operations manual as of the Issuance Date of this Disclosure Document currently consists of 195 pages and the table of contents to the operations manual is attached as Exhibit C to this Disclosure Document (Franchise Agreement, Article 4). Major subjects contained in the operations manual consist of establishing, developing, marketing and operating the Franchised Business;

- Approved Suppliers and Distributors We will provide you with a list of our approved suppliers and distributors, to the extent that we have designated them, either as part of the Manuals or otherwise in writing. (Franchise Agreement, Articles 3, 4, and 7.F.);

- Signs, Equipment, Furniture, and Fixtures We will provide you with a list of our approved signage, equipment, furniture and fixtures, to the extent that we have designated them, either as part of the Manuals or otherwise in writing and we will review and approve, in our discretion, your proposed signage, equipment, furniture and fixtures. We do not provide assistance in delivering or installing signs, equipment, furniture or fixtures. (Franchise Agreement, Articles 3 and 4);

- Website and Digital Media We will identify and locate your Dryer Vent Squad Business on our website. We strictly control how you may or may not use websites and digital media and you must assign all website media and digital media accounts to us. (Franchise Agreement, Articles 3.G. and 9); and

- Initial Training Not less than 28 days prior to the opening of your Dryer Vent Squad Business you or your Managing Owner and one management level employee or Owner must attend and complete our initial training program. We will provide you (and up to one of your designated managers) with training in accordance with our initial training program. (Franchise Agreement, Article 4). Our current training program is to be attended by you, or if you are a Corporate Entity, your Managing Owner and one Operating Manager at our training facility located
in Lakewood, New Jersey. The training program takes place over a three day period and is described below in this Item 11 in more detail.
Site Selection
If permitted by local law, you may operate your Dryer Vent Squad Business from a home based administrative office.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryer Vent Squad grants the franchisee the right to operate a franchised business within a designated operating territory. The franchisee's operating territory is selected and approved at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must operate their Dryer Vent Squad business in accordance with the manuals and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, which Dryer Vent Squad reserves the right to modify and update.
Dryer Vent Squad allows franchisees to manage their business from a home-based administrative office if permitted by law. If a franchisee chooses to lease an administrative office or operations center, the location must be within the approved operating territory and approved by Dryer Vent Squad. The franchisor also provides a list of approved suppliers and distributors, as well as approved signage, equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
Franchisees must complete initial training, obtain necessary licensing and authorization, and provide proof of required insurance before opening their Dryer Vent Squad business. Franchisees are expected to open and offer services and products within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. Dryer Vent Squad also designates information about the franchisee's business on the DryerVentSquad.com webpage or other designated websites.
Dryer Vent Squad maintains control over digital media and marketing, requiring franchisees to assign all website and digital media accounts to them. Franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's marketing standards and obtain approval for marketing media used to promote their Dryer Vent Squad business. Dryer Vent Squad may also establish, update, and communicate standards for the operation of the franchise, including approved services and products, system supplies, and marketing and promotion standards.
