What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad FDD, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs and expenses associated with participation in the Dryer Vent Squad training programs. Specifically, this requirement extends to supplemental and system-wide training initiatives.
This means that as a Dryer Vent Squad franchisee, you will need to budget for expenses related to attending and completing any required training programs. These costs can include travel, accommodation, meals, and any other associated fees. It is important to factor these expenses into your overall financial planning when considering a Dryer Vent Squad franchise.
Furthermore, the FDD stipulates that if a Dryer Vent Squad franchisee transfers their business to a new owner, the transferee is responsible for completing any training programs in effect at their own expense. Similarly, in the event of the death or permanent disability of a franchisee or managing owner, the appointed manager or new managing owner must attend and successfully complete the training program, with the costs borne by the franchisee or their representative. This highlights the ongoing investment in training required to maintain the standards and operational expertise within the Dryer Vent Squad franchise system.
