What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Dryer Vent Squad's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryer Vent Squad is not obligated to locate an administrative office for the franchisee. However, the franchisee's administrative office must be located within the Operating Territory and be approved by Dryer Vent Squad.
Specifically, the FDD states that the franchisee is obligated to develop and operate a Dryer Vent Squad Business within the designated operating territory. The operating territory can be either a Single Territory or a Double Territory, as specified in Schedule 2 of the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee's administrative office, from which the Dryer Vent Squad Business is managed, must be situated within this operating territory and receive approval from Dryer Vent Squad.
This means that while Dryer Vent Squad does not find the location, the franchisee is responsible for finding a suitable location for their administrative office, but Dryer Vent Squad retains the right to approve the location. This ensures that the office aligns with Dryer Vent Squad's standards and is appropriately situated within the designated territory. The franchisee cannot operate the Franchised Business outside of the Operating Territory.
