What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Dryer Vent Squad's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand has the authority to modify and replace components of its System, including brand standards. The System encompasses various elements critical to the Dryer Vent Squad business, such as approved services and products, System Supplies, procedures, Licensed Marks, Trade Dress, Copyrights, trade names, service marks, logos, the Operations Manual, Business Management System Data, Know-How, and Confidential Information.
The FDD emphasizes that all determinations regarding the System, including its components, modifications, and replacements, are to be decided by Dryer Vent Squad using their reasonable business judgment. This means that Dryer Vent Squad has the discretion to make changes they believe will benefit the overall System.
For a prospective franchisee, this implies that the Dryer Vent Squad business model, including branding, operational procedures, and required supplies, is subject to change during the term of the franchise agreement. While these changes are intended to improve the System, franchisees must adapt to these modifications, which could involve additional investments or alterations to their existing business practices to stay aligned with the current brand standards. Franchisees should stay informed of any updates and understand how these changes might affect their operations and profitability.
