What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Dryer Vent Squad's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to hire a manager to oversee the daily operations of the business, that manager must meet specific criteria. The manager must fulfill all of Dryer Vent Squad's minimum standards and criteria for managers, successfully complete the initial training program, and sign both confidentiality and non-competition agreements. Additionally, the manager must agree in writing to take responsibility for the on-site management and supervision of the Dryer Vent Squad business.
These requirements ensure that anyone managing a Dryer Vent Squad franchise on behalf of the franchisee is adequately trained and committed to protecting the franchisor's interests. The initial training program equips the manager with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate the business according to Dryer Vent Squad's standards. The confidentiality and non-competition agreements safeguard sensitive business information and prevent the manager from engaging in activities that could harm the franchise.
By requiring these standards, Dryer Vent Squad aims to maintain consistency and quality across all its franchise locations, even when the owner is not directly involved in the daily operations. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these requirements when planning their business operations and hiring decisions, as failing to meet these standards could impact their ability to operate the franchise effectively.
