Answer from 2024 FDD Document

You may hire a manager to assume responsibility for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business, only if (a) the manager meets all of our minimum standards and criteria for managers; (b) the manager completes our initial training program; (c) the manager signs our confidentiality and non-competition agreements; and (d) the manager agrees, in writing, to assume responsibility for the on-site management and supervision of the Franchised Business. All of your employees and other agents and representatives who may have access to our confidential information must sign a confidentiality agreement. (Franchise Agreement, Article 6 and Exhibit 3). What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad FDD, if a franchisee hires a manager to oversee the daily operations of the Dryer Vent Squad business, that manager is required to sign a confidentiality agreement. This requirement is part of a set of conditions that must be met before a manager can be appointed. These conditions also include meeting Dryer Vent Squad's minimum standards for managers, completing the initial training program, and agreeing in writing to assume responsibility for on-site management.

This confidentiality agreement ensures that the manager, who has access to sensitive business information, is legally bound to protect that information. Additionally, all employees and other agents or representatives who have access to Dryer Vent Squad's confidential information must also sign a confidentiality agreement.

The FDD includes a sample confidentiality agreement as Exhibit 3. However, Dryer Vent Squad franchisees are advised to have this agreement reviewed and approved by their own independent local attorney before using it with an employee or contractor. This is to ensure that the agreement complies with local laws and adequately protects the franchisee's interests.
