What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad FDD, if permitted by local law, a franchisee may operate their Dryer Vent Squad business from a home-based administrative office. However, if a franchisee elects to lease a back-end administrative office and/or operations center, the location must be within their Operating Territory and be approved by Dryer Vent Squad.

Dryer Vent Squad will respond to a franchisee's proposed location request within 30 days of receiving all required information and documentation. Dryer Vent Squad will consider factors such as the characteristics of the proposed site, whether it meets the criteria for non-retail back-office operations, and its location relative to the franchisee's Operating Territory and proximity to other franchisee territories.

If the site selection does not meet Dryer Vent Squad's requirements, the Franchise Agreement may be terminated without any fees being refunded to the franchisee. It is the franchisee's responsibility to consult with government agencies, architects, and legal professionals to ensure that the site allows for the establishment and operation of the franchised business and that all necessary licenses and authority to operate the franchised business are obtained.
