What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Dryer Vent Squad's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's right to operate under the Dryer Vent Squad System is limited to a specific operating territory. At the time of signing the Franchise Agreement, Dryer Vent Squad will designate a geographic area that comprises the franchisee's operating territory, as further detailed in Item 12 of the FDD.

This means that a Dryer Vent Squad franchisee can only offer and provide approved services and products within their designated territory. The franchisee must also use only the System Supplies within this territory. This territorial restriction is a common practice in franchising, designed to prevent overlap and competition between franchisees, while allowing each franchisee the opportunity to develop and dominate their local market.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review Item 12 of the Dryer Vent Squad FDD and discuss the specifics of the territory being offered with the franchisor. Understanding the geographic boundaries and market potential of the territory is crucial for assessing the viability of the franchise opportunity. Franchisees should also inquire about the factors that Dryer Vent Squad considers when defining a territory, such as population density, demographics, and existing competition.
