What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee's former Dryer Vent Squad business or administrative office is no longer operating as a Dryer Vent Squad franchise, the franchisee is required to modify the administrative office to ensure it is completely de-identified and differentiated from its former appearance. This is to prevent any confusion by the public regarding the continued existence of a Dryer Vent Squad business at that location.
The franchisee must remove all distinctive physical and structural features that identify it as a Dryer Vent Squad business, including signs, trade dress, and emblems associated with the Dryer Vent Squad system and licensed marks. The franchisor may also request additional changes to further de-identify the administrative office. The franchisee is responsible for completing these actions within the timeframe specified by Dryer Vent Squad.
Dryer Vent Squad, and/or its designated agents, have the right to enter the premises of the franchisee's administrative office to make these alterations at the franchisee's sole risk and expense. Failure to make these modifications in a timely manner will cause irreparable injury to Dryer Vent Squad, and the franchisee consents to the entry of an ex-parte order by a court authorizing Dryer Vent Squad or its agents to take action at the franchisee's expense. The franchisee must also take all necessary actions to cancel any fictitious or assumed names registrations related to the licensed marks.
