What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Dryer Vent Squad's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not always required to operate from a commercial office location. The FDD states that franchisees may manage their Dryer Vent Squad business from a home-based administrative office if permitted by local law.

However, if a franchisee chooses to establish an operations center, which includes a non-retail back-office facility for inventory, staging service visits, and parking a service vehicle, they are responsible for selecting and securing a site within their operating territory. This site is subject to approval by Dryer Vent Squad. The franchisee bears all costs associated with locating and evaluating potential sites for either an administrative office or an operations center.

Dryer Vent Squad must provide written approval or disapproval of a proposed administrative office location within 30 days of receiving all requested information and documentation. Factors considered for approval include the site's characteristics, whether it meets the criteria for non-retail back-office operations, its location relative to the franchisee's operating territory, and its proximity to other franchisee territories. If the site selection does not meet Dryer Vent Squad's requirements, the Franchise Agreement may be terminated without any refund of fees.
