trainers will, at a minimum, include each trainer's satisfactory completion of our initial training program. In addition to initial training, you will also be required to participate in and satisfy all other training programs that we may designate respecting the Franchised Business (Franchise Agreement, Articles 4). After the opening of your Dryer Vent Squad Business, we reserve the right to require that you (or your managing owner if you are a corporate entity) attend a system-wide training program (the "System-Wide Training Program") that we may establish in our discretion. If we establish a System-Wide Training Program, the program will be offered from our affiliate owned Dryer Vent Squad Business in Lakewood, New Jersey and you will be responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses and employee wages that you incur in connection with your attendance. What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad FDD, franchisees may be required to participate in additional training programs beyond the initial training. Dryer Vent Squad may require franchisees and their operating managers to participate in supplemental on-site training at their discretion. This supplemental training may be required if the franchisee is not meeting the System's performance standards, as determined by Dryer Vent Squad.
If Dryer Vent Squad provides supplemental training on-site within the franchisee's Operating Territory, the franchisee is responsible for paying a supplemental training fee. The current fee is $250 per on-site trainer per day, in addition to covering the travel expenses, meals, and accommodation expenses incurred by Dryer Vent Squad.
Dryer Vent Squad also reserves the right to require franchisees (or their managing owner, if the franchisee is a corporate entity) to attend a system-wide training program, which they may establish at their discretion. If a System-Wide Training Program is established, it will be offered from Dryer Vent Squad's affiliate-owned business in Lakewood, New Jersey. Franchisees will be responsible for all travel expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses, and employee wages incurred in connection with their attendance. Dryer Vent Squad will not require attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than five days in any calendar year. Some training may also be conducted through Zoom programs.
