What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad FDD, Dryer Vent Squad may administer and manage System-wide marketing funds, which may include a Brand Development Fund and/or Advertising Cooperative.
Dryer Vent Squad may control and administer a Brand Development Fund. Franchisees may be required to contribute a monthly sum not to exceed 2% of monthly Gross Sales to the Brand Development Fund. Dryer Vent Squad may use this fund for various marketing and development activities, including market studies, research, advertising, and public relations. While Dryer Vent Squad and its affiliates may contribute to the Brand Development Fund, it will not be used to directly promote an individual franchisee's Dryer Vent Squad Business or its specific marketing area.
Dryer Vent Squad also possesses the exclusive right to authorize, establish, designate, and de-authorize local or regional advertising cooperatives. If a cooperative is established in a market that includes a franchisee's Dryer Vent Squad Business, the franchisee must contribute to the cooperative in amounts and frequency determined by the cooperative. Members of the cooperative are responsible for administering it, including determining contributions, marketing expenditures, and allocations. Dryer Vent Squad may require cooperative decisions to be based on a simple majority vote of franchisee members, with a quorum of at least 25%.
