What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Dryer Vent Squad Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants more than two individuals to attend the initial training program, they must pay an additional initial training fee of $500 per person, subject to Dryer Vent Squad's approval. These additional initial training fees must be pre-paid in advance of the training. Dryer Vent Squad will send an invoice to the franchisee for these fees.

This means that if a Dryer Vent Squad franchisee wishes to send more than the standard two attendees to the initial training, they will incur extra costs. It is important to note that this additional attendance is subject to the franchisor's approval, so it is not guaranteed that extra personnel can attend.

Franchisees should factor these potential training costs into their initial investment calculations, especially if they anticipate needing more than two people to be fully trained from the outset. Paying in advance of the training is a fairly standard practice in franchising, ensuring that the franchisor is compensated for the training services they provide.
