According to the 2025 Dq Treat Franchise Disclosure Document, the total number of classroom training hours is 32. The training program is broken down into different modules. The Human Resource Management module includes 7 hours of classroom training. The Customer Service/PRIDE/Speed of Service/Local Marketing module includes 4 hours of classroom training. The Situational Leadership module includes 8 hours of classroom training. The Goals/Change Management/Time Management module includes 4 hours of classroom training. The Financial Management module includes 6 hours of classroom training.
In addition to classroom training, Dq Treat also provides on-the-job training. Store Operations includes 32 hours of on-the-job training. Customer Service includes 2 hours of on-the-job training. Store Operations (shift positions, managing shifts, management function modules) includes 92 hours of on-the-job training. Sanitation includes 2 hours of on-the-job training. Safety includes 2 hours of on-the-job training. Marketing includes 2 hours of on-the-job training. Financial Management (cash management, recordkeeping) includes 2 hours of on-the-job training. Register/Back Office System includes 8 hours of on-the-job training.
The Dq Treat training program is made up of 3 phases. Phases 1 and 2 are taught by restaurant training specialists, and phase 3 is taught by a field training consultant. The instructional materials used are reference material packets, workbooks, hands-on demonstrations and practice in the training location, reviews, lectures, exams, classroom discussion, product knowledge tests, and skill assessments. Students are required to bring a laptop computer or tablet capable with internet access to in-store training.
