What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dq Treat's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, GIFT (First Data Resources, LLC) will provide certain settlement services, specifically "ACH Settlement Services," to Dq Treat Operated Locations, Participating Franchisees, and Sub-Franchisees. These services are facilitated through debits and credits to the franchisee's account and the designated accounts of Dq Treat (referred to as "Client" in this context) for the net value of Card Transactions.
This means that GIFT acts as the processor to handle the financial settlements related to transactions made using stored value cards within the Dq Treat system. The funds from these card transactions will be transferred between the franchisee's account and Dq Treat's account through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
As a Dq Treat franchisee, you must provide Dq Treat with an ACH Authorization to allow these debits and credits to occur. This authorization confirms that Dq Treat and its service providers, including GIFT, can initiate these transactions as needed to process card transactions and any necessary adjustments. Franchisees must also comply with all applicable laws and the rules of the National Automated Clearing House Association.
