What is the process for a Dq Treat Participating Location to have PAR maintain Participating Location's consolidated Participating Location PARPay Data for longer than 24 months?

Dq_Treat Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

PAR agrees to maintain Participating Location PARPay Data extracted to the data center for a period of twenty-four (24) months and PAR will back up Participating Location's consolidated Participating Location PARPay Data at regular nightly intervals. Weekly backups of Participating Location's consolidated Participating Location PARPay Data will be stored off site. If Participating Location wants PAR to maintain Participating Location's consolidated Participating Location PARPay Data for a longer period of time, this is considered a customization of the PARPay Service and shall be subject to a separate addendum or statement of work mutually agreed upon by the parties outlining the work to be performed, the applicable fees, and the payment terms.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, PAR, the PARPay service provider, typically maintains a Participating Location's PARPay data for 24 months, backing it up regularly with weekly off-site storage. If a Dq Treat franchisee wants PAR to maintain this data for a longer period, it is considered a customization of the PARPay Service.

To arrange for extended data maintenance, the Dq Treat franchisee and PAR must mutually agree upon a separate addendum or statement of work. This agreement should specifically outline the work to be performed by PAR, the fees associated with the extended service, and the payment terms.

In effect, extending the data retention period requires a separate, negotiated agreement that details the scope of work, costs, and payment schedule. This implies that franchisees should proactively discuss their data retention needs with PAR and be prepared to cover the additional costs for this customized service.
