What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dq Treat's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, PARPay Service Fees are paid monthly via automatic debit from the Participating Location's checking account. Generally, these fees are non-refundable.
However, there are exceptions where refunds may be provided. If Dq Treat or PAR terminates the PARPay agreement due to a material breach, Dq Treat must refund any prepaid and unused PARPay Service Fees through the date of termination. Similarly, if Dq Treat terminates the agreement for convenience, PAR must refund any prepaid and unused PARPay Service Fees through the date of termination.
Additionally, if PAR is responsible for intellectual property infringement claims, Dq Treat's sole and exclusive remedy shall be a refund of the PARPay Service Fees for the then-current month's PARPay Service or any PARPay Service Fees for the remainder of the Term if such PARPay Service Fees were paid in advance. Dq Treat franchisees should carefully note the conditions under which refunds are possible, as these are exceptions to the general rule of non-refundability.
