What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dq Treat's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Depot Warranty Period for SSS equipment that is not AE Equipment is one year. This warranty period begins from the date of activation of the SSS (Self-Service System) at the franchisee's location. This Depot Warranty Period, along with the Advance Exchange Warranty Period, collectively form the Equipment Warranty Period.
This means that if a Dq Treat franchisee experiences defects in materials or workmanship with their SSS equipment (excluding AE Equipment) within one year of activation, under normal use and service, they may be entitled to a warranty claim. It is important to note that this warranty is limited, and Dq Treat disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To make a claim, the franchisee must notify PAR of the defect during this one-year period by calling 1-800-458-6898. The franchisee may be required to return the defective equipment to PAR's facility for repair or replacement at PAR's discretion and expense. The franchisee is responsible for properly packing the equipment for return and assumes the risk of loss or damage during transit due to improper packing.
Any replacement equipment provided under this warranty will be subject to the same warranty for the remaining duration of the original one-year Depot Warranty Period. This warranty does not cover situations where the equipment is misused, damaged due to external factors, or if unauthorized modifications are made. Franchisees should carefully review the warranty terms and conditions to understand the scope of coverage and any exclusions.
