What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, a designated manager cannot operate a competitive business. The FDD specifies that designated managers must dedicate their full time and attention to the Dq Treat location's operations. They are prohibited from participating in the active operation or management of any other business, ensuring their focus remains solely on the Dq Treat franchise.
This requirement is in place to protect Dq Treat's interests and maintain the quality of its operations. By preventing designated managers from engaging in other business ventures, Dq Treat aims to ensure that managers are fully committed to the success of the franchise. This helps maintain brand consistency and customer service standards.
For prospective franchisees, this means that the designated manager they hire must be entirely dedicated to the Dq Treat business. Franchisees need to ensure their designated managers understand and comply with this restriction to avoid violating the franchise agreement. This requirement helps Dq Treat maintain control over its brand and operational standards, but it also places a responsibility on the franchisee to carefully select and manage their designated manager.
