What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, a Participating Location is defined within the context of purchasing equipment and software through the PAR Solution. Specifically, it refers to a location within either the Dairy Queen or Orange Julius franchise systems.
This designation applies to franchisees who choose to acquire equipment, license software, and gain access to the PAR Solution. This is accomplished by formally agreeing to the terms outlined in the Participation Agreement.
In simpler terms, a Dq Treat or Orange Julius franchisee becomes a 'Participating Location' when they decide to integrate the PAR Solution into their business operations and commit to the related agreement. This definition is important because it clarifies which franchisees are subject to the terms and conditions associated with the PAR Solution, particularly concerning equipment purchases, software licensing, and access to services.
