What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, the company may periodically offer an in-restaurant training program to franchisees. The franchisee is responsible for covering the expenses associated with this training. Dq Treat franchisees have the option to purchase the company's in-restaurant training program and any available updates.
In addition to the in-restaurant program, Dq Treat requires franchisees and their employees to meet ongoing training requirements, also at the franchisee's expense. If a franchisee defaults on the agreement by failing to meet operational standards, Dq Treat may require additional training, again at the franchisee's expense, as a condition for resolving the default.
Furthermore, the FDD states that the franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with training and meetings, including tuition or fees, salaries, wages, benefits, travel and living expenses, for all individuals affiliated with the franchisee and the restaurant who attend any initial training, ongoing training, or other meetings.
