What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dq Treat's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the restaurant management plan is a required part of the franchise application package. The primary purpose of this plan is to clearly identify all individuals who will be involved in the proposed Dq Treat franchise, detailing their qualifications, roles, and responsibilities within the business.
The management plan requires specific information about the principals involved, including their professional backgrounds, relevant business skills and experience, and the duties they will hold. Applicants must also provide resumes or work histories for each principal. Additionally, the plan must outline the makeup of the proposed management team, including designated and assistant managers, their duties, and responsibilities, along with resumes for each person.
The document also asks for information regarding equity interest within the management team, specifying who will attend the company training program, and details of any other businesses the applicant currently owns, including the management teams for those businesses. If the applicant already owns a Dq Treat or Orange Julius franchise, they must indicate which members of their management team have successfully completed the company training program and when they attended. This comprehensive overview allows Dq Treat to assess the capabilities and experience of the individuals who will be managing and operating the franchise.
