What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, any notices required to be given to PAR must be in writing. The Dq Treat franchisee must send these notices via postage prepaid certified mail or by overnight courier. The notice should be addressed to ParTech, Inc. (Attn: Legal Department); ParTech Technology Park; 8383 Seneca Turnpike; New Hartford, NY 13413-4991. Notices are deemed to be given upon receipt.

This requirement ensures that all official communications with PAR, especially those of legal or contractual importance, are documented and can be tracked. By specifying certified mail or overnight courier, Dq Treat aims to establish a reliable record of when the notice was sent and received, which can be crucial in resolving disputes or ensuring compliance with agreements.

The Dq Treat FDD also states that notices to the Participating Location (the franchisee) should be sent to the billing address or fax number on the Sales Order/Purchase Order. This dual approach ensures that both parties have a clear and reliable method for sending and receiving important communications, reducing the potential for misunderstandings or disputes arising from unclear communication channels. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where clear communication is essential for maintaining a healthy franchisor-franchisee relationship.
