What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dq Treat FDD, franchisees, referred to as Participating Locations, must pay Acumera fees via credit card or auto ACH debit. These payment methods must be set up before the commencement of service. Payments are due fifteen days from the invoice date; if the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment is due on the first business day after. Franchisees have the option to pay on a monthly basis or annually upfront, depending on their preference.
Invoices for installation/setup fees and shipping and handling charges are issued on the firewall shipping date. Invoicing, which occurs one month in advance, begins upon shipment. The FDD specifies that pricing is confidential and cannot be disclosed to third parties. Any partial month at the beginning of the term will be invoiced to the Participating Location on a pro-rated basis.
It's important to note that fees are non-refundable. If a Participating Location fails to make payments, Acumera may charge a late fee of 1.5% of the overdue balance per month (or the maximum amount permitted by law, whichever is lower). Additionally, Acumera reserves the right to suspend services if an account is fifteen days or more overdue, provided that the Participating Location receives at least ten days' prior written notice. An activation fee may be required to resume a suspended account.
