What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Dolce Hotels Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use reasonable efforts to protect, maintain, and promote the "Dolce" name, other Marks, and the System's distinguishing characteristics. This obligation extends to ensuring that their officers, directors, principals, employees, representatives, or guests do not engage in unlawful conduct or actions damaging to the goodwill or public image of the Chain or System.

Furthermore, if a franchisee or any of their principals or guarantors are convicted of a felony or any offense likely to reflect negatively on Dolce Hotels, the System, or the Marks, it constitutes a material and incurable breach of the franchise agreement. Franchisees are also required to adhere to System Standards for identifying the Facility to avoid confusion among guests, creditors, lenders, investors, and the public regarding ownership and operation.

In practical terms, this means Dolce Hotels franchisees must be proactive in safeguarding the brand's reputation and trademarks. This includes training staff to uphold brand standards, monitoring activities within the facility to prevent any actions that could harm the brand's image, and ensuring all marketing and promotional materials accurately represent the Dolce Hotels brand. Failure to comply with these requirements could lead to a breach of the franchise agreement and potential termination of the franchise.
