What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee does not pay a weekly fee for additional post-opening initial training programs. Instead, if the franchisee requests additional initial training programs for new or replacement personnel after the restaurant opens, they must pay Dog Haus its then-current 'Additional Post-Opening Initial Training Fee' for each of Dog Haus's representatives providing the training. This fee is intended to cover Dog Haus's direct costs for providing the training.

In addition to the training fee, the franchisee is responsible for covering all transportation, food, lodging, and similar costs incurred by both Dog Haus and the franchisee's personnel during the training. For Dog Haus employees, this includes expenses for up to two round trip flights, two hotel rooms, two rental vehicles, and a $60 per diem for each employee providing training.

It is important for prospective Dog Haus franchisees to factor in these potential additional training costs when budgeting for ongoing operational expenses. The actual cost will depend on the number of personnel requiring training, the duration of the training, and the number of Dog Haus representatives involved. Franchisees should clarify the 'Then-Current Additional Post-Opening Initial Training Fee' with Dog Haus to accurately estimate these expenses.
