What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dog Haus will not provide the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program under specific circumstances. If a franchisee or their affiliates already own another Dog Haus Restaurant, they will not receive the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program for subsequent locations. Similarly, if the Franchise Agreement is a renewal of an existing agreement, the franchisee will not be provided with the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program.
This policy has significant implications for existing Dog Haus franchisees looking to expand or renew their agreements. It suggests that Dog Haus believes experienced franchisees already possess the necessary knowledge and skills to operate additional or renewed locations successfully. This can be seen as both a benefit and a potential drawback. On one hand, it reduces the time and cost associated with training. On the other hand, it removes the opportunity for a refresher or update on any new operational procedures or standards implemented by Dog Haus.
Prospective franchisees should be aware of this policy and consider its impact on their long-term business plans. If a franchisee anticipates opening multiple Dog Haus locations, they should inquire about alternative training or support resources available to them beyond the initial training program. Additionally, franchisees considering renewing their agreements should discuss with Dog Haus any ongoing support or training available to ensure they remain up-to-date with the latest operational practices and standards.
