Are there any radius restrictions that limit where Dog Haus can franchise another restaurant?

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while franchisees are granted a protected territory, there are no radius restrictions that limit where Dog Haus can franchise or operate another restaurant. As a Dog Haus franchisee, you will be permitted to operate your franchised restaurant at a specific location that Dog Haus accepts. You will be granted a protected area of a 1/2 - 5 mile radius from your franchised restaurant.

Factors that Dog Haus considers in determining the size of your protected area include demographics, population size, age and income levels, neighboring and adjacent retail tenants, road visibility, traffic patterns, geographical barriers and proximity of other Dog Haus Restaurants or competitors serving the same market area. Provided you are not in default under your Franchise Agreement, Dog Haus will not own, operate, sell or issue a Franchised Restaurant franchise to another franchisee in your Protected Area.

Dog Haus expressly reserves the exclusive, unrestricted right to develop, own and operate, and to grant franchises to third parties to develop, own and operate, Franchised Restaurants outside of your Protected Area, regardless of their proximity to the Franchised Restaurant. Dog Haus also reserves the right to develop, own and operate, and to grant franchises to third parties to develop, own and operate any other business, other than a competitive business, under marks and systems different from the Dog Haus Marks and the Dog Haus System at any location regardless of their proximity to your Franchised Restaurant.
