What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if an inspection reveals that a franchisee is not operating in compliance with the franchise agreement or the manuals, Dog Haus may require the franchisee, the principal owner, each general manager, and other supervisorial or managerial personnel to attend Post-Opening Additional Training Programs. These programs are designed to address any identified operating deficiencies.

This requirement means that franchisees and their key staff must be prepared to undergo further training if their restaurant's operations do not meet Dog Haus's standards. The franchisee is also responsible for covering certain costs associated with this additional training. Specifically, the franchisee must pay Dog Haus its then-current Post-Opening Additional Training Program Fee for each of Dog Haus's employees who provide the additional training programs.

Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for all transportation costs, food, lodging, and similar expenses incurred by both Dog Haus's employees and the franchisee's personnel (including the principal owner, general manager, and other supervisorial or managerial staff) in connection with attending these training programs. This includes expenses such as round trip flights (up to two), hotel rooms (up to two), rental vehicles (up to two), and a $60 per diem for each of Dog Haus's employees providing the training. The franchisee must also cover all compensation expenses for their own personnel attending the training programs.
