What is a Dog Haus Remote Kitchen also known as?
Dog_Haus Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
A Remote Kitchen (also known as a delivery-only restaurant or an online-only restaurant) is a food service business used for the production of delivery and take-away food products located in a partially equipped commercial kitchen within a multi-kitchen facility with other restauranteurs that only serves customers through online food ordering through third parties' online food ordering platforms ("Food Delivery Services"), usually on a computer application or through a website that is downloaded by the customer to a mobile device. Customers may place their orders for food products online with the Food Delivery Service they choose for the food they want delivered. The Food Delivery Service then transmits the order to the Remote Kitchen for preparation, picks up the order at the Remote Kitchen facility and delivers the food to the customer for a fee established by the Food Delivery Service which may range from 10% to 25% of each customer's total order. Alternatively, customers may place their orders directly with the Remote Kitchen and pick up their order at the Remote Kitchen Facility. You will have full responsibility for all orders sent to your Remote Kitchen for fulfillment, including (i) the preparation and packaging of all orders on a timely basis and in a professional manner; (ii) compliance with all applicable laws in the fulfillment of the orders; (iii) compliance with the fulfillment requirements of each order; and (iv) performance of all of your obligations under your Franchise Agreement, the Remote Kitchen Addendum to Franchise Agreement, and any other agreements with us or our affiliates.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Remote Kitchen is also known as a delivery-only restaurant or an online-only restaurant. This type of Dog Haus restaurant focuses on fulfilling orders placed online through third-party food delivery services or directly by customers for pickup.
For a prospective franchisee, this means the Dog Haus Remote Kitchen model operates without a traditional dine-in space, potentially reducing overhead costs associated with front-of-house staff and customer seating areas. The franchisee will need to manage online orders, food preparation, and packaging efficiently to meet the demands of delivery and pickup customers.
However, franchisees should be aware that they are fully responsible for ensuring timely and professional order preparation, compliance with all applicable laws, and adherence to the fulfillment requirements of each order. This includes managing relationships with third-party delivery services and ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivered product. The success of a Dog Haus Remote Kitchen heavily relies on operational efficiency and effective management of the online ordering and delivery process.
