What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the remedies outlined in the franchise agreement are cumulative. This means that any specific right or remedy detailed in the agreement, whether legal, equitable, or otherwise, is not the only option available to Dog Haus.
Instead, Dog Haus has the option to use that remedy in addition to any other rights or remedies that are set forth in the agreement or allowed by law. This provision provides Dog Haus with greater flexibility and a wider range of options when addressing any issues or breaches of contract by the franchisee.
For a prospective Dog Haus franchisee, this clause implies that the franchisor has multiple avenues for recourse if the franchisee fails to meet their obligations. It is not limited to a single course of action but can pursue various remedies simultaneously to protect its interests and the integrity of the Dog Haus brand. This is a common practice in franchising, intended to safeguard the franchisor's investment and brand reputation.
