What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the currently approved POS system is the Toast POS System, which includes the Dog Haus Suite of Tools, featuring a dashboard portal for location sales and operation reports, along with support plans and handheld terminals.
The Toast POS system must be obtained from Toast, Inc., as they are the only supplier currently approved by Dog Haus. The cost to install the Toast POS System varies depending on the franchise type. For a Dog Haus Fast Casual Restaurant or Dog Haus Biergarten, the installation ranges from $8,300 to $12,000. For a Dog Haus Remote Kitchen, the installation cost is between $800 and $1,500.
In addition to the installation costs, franchisees must also pay a monthly service fee ranging from $254 to $500 for services such as help desk support, menu programming, web reporting, and a mobile point of sale application. Dog Haus retains the right to change POS systems at any time, providing franchisees with 90 days' notice. This is a fairly standard clause in franchise agreements, allowing the franchisor to adapt to new technologies or negotiate better deals with vendors, but it does mean franchisees could face unexpected replacement costs.
